Located on the Hudson River only twenty miles north of New York City, Dobbs Ferry is a true 'River Town'-the descriptive term for Westchester villages dotting the river's eastern bank. It experienced its greatest surge of growth with the building of the New York and Hudson Railroad, enabling residents of 'the City' to move north. Dobbs Ferry was one of the first villages to reclaim the river by creating the lovely Waterfront Park. Dobbs Ferry is a quaint village with a bustling downtown and mix of housing from mansions to modest single family homes, luxurious new river front condos as well as those of older vintage, and co-ops.
